SPRING IS ALMOST HERE! It's time to start opening some windows, let the fresh air in, and prepare your home for the warmer weather.
Here are a few simple tips to get your started:
⭐ Clean out gutters and downspouts.
If left neglected, clogged gutters can cause foundation, flooring and erosion issues.
⭐ Remove any blocks/boards that were placed outside in front of the foundation vents (once overnight temps are generally above freezing)
⭐ Test all smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
** Hint: Daylight Savings Time starts March 13th & is a perfect time to change batteries
⭐ Check fire extinguishers- recharge/replace if necessary
⭐ Replace your furnace filters and consider having system inspected/cleaned by a professional.
⭐ Check and replace caulking behind sinks and throughout kitchen and bathrooms
⭐ Remove any debris on the lawn and repair damaged areas as needed
**Hint: Jump start your lawn from its winter slumber by using fertilizer
⭐ Get the lawn mower ready for mowing season by changing the oil and spark plugs, sharpening the blade, and adjusting blade height so mower is in tiptop shape for the mowing season
